A hairstylist's job should be about caring for clients' hair, not spending the entire day answering booking messages.
But for many independent beauty professionals, the process starts with repetitive questions:
What services do you offer?
How much does it cost?
Are you available on Saturday?
Can I book an appointment?
I wanted to explore how much simpler that experience could be.
So, I built The Curl Room, a booking experience for a fictional natural hair studio in Ibadan, Nigeria.
With The Curl Room, customers can:
Explore available hair services and prices.
Choose their preferred appointment date and time.
Submit their details and confirm their booking.
Receive a booking confirmation.
And for the studio owner, appointments and customer information are organized in one dashboard.
The idea is simple: reduce the back-and-forth, simplify appointment management and give independent service providers more time to focus on their craft.
