Most websites don’t fail because they look bad. They fail because they don’t make it easy for a customer to understand what to do next.
That’s something I’ve learned from decades of actually running businesses, building ecommerce programs, developing products, and working through real customer problems.
When I look at a website, I’m not only thinking about design. I’m looking at the full business behind it:
Is the offer clear?
Can customers find what they need quickly?
Does the site build trust?
Is the path to purchase or contact obvious?
Are there unnecessary steps creating friction?
Does the website support how the business actually operates?
That business-first approach is how I work on websites, ecommerce, UX, and product development.
I’m currently taking on new website and ecommerce projects and looking forward to connecting with more businesses here on Contra.
