I chose to reimagine the infinite scroll on social media.
We all know the feeling. You open your phone and 30 minutes disappear. That's doomscrolling.
Let's not even talk about the guilt and anxiety that comes after.
But what if a simple addition could change how millions of people use social media?
That's why I built Zombie Antidote.
A choice point that appears between videos, turning an unconscious decision into a conscious one.
Design decisions:
→ Mood-based. Makes choosing easy when you're in that low-energy zombie state.
→ Skippable. You can scroll right past it and keep going.
→ Session-based. Your choice shapes your feed in the moment. The next day, it resets.

Love this! 🧟♂️ Turning doomscrolling into a conscious choice is such a smart, humane intervention. Mood-based prompts and session-level control make it feel personal without being intrusive this is the kind of thoughtful UX that could really change how we interact with feeds.

I built Intentional — a prototype that redesigns infinite scroll into a friction-based, awareness-driven interaction.
Instead of endless passive consumption:
• Posts are blurred until you press and hold for 3 seconds
• A circular progress indicator reinforces conscious choice
• After every 5 posts, the UI pauses and asks:
“Why are you here right now?”
Learn.
Connect.
Escape.
Not sure.
The goal isn’t to slow users down.
It’s to give them back control.
