Red flag alert 🚩 That’s when I knew this wasn’t going to work 🙃
📄 20-page brochure 📦 6-panel flyer 📐 Apartment layouts 💸 Payment plan visuals 🧾 Booking forms 🎁 Gift box design
All due in 1.5 weeks. For ~1K EUR
It was a lot, but I thought I could handle it. Had a great first call and thought, “Maybe this could be long-term.”
Then came the moment.
The client said: “This is where you come in to help with content.”
Wait… what?
I’m a graphic designer, not a copywriter, especially not for real estate.
I explained: 👉 You provide the copy. 👉 I design it beautifully and make it print-ready.
That’s collaboration.
She insisted, so I said “no thanks.”
Lesson learned: ✨ Not every project is the right one. 💬 Boundaries protect your craft and time.
It’s not about every job, it’s about the right one, where skills are respected.
