Custom Rive animation for Elano Studio
Elano is a German studio that sells design, development and AI work as a monthly subscription for Shopify brands. Clean model, but a homepage that has to explain something unfamiliar needs a reason for people to stay on it.
Static illustrations would have done the job. Motion does it better.
I built three custom Rive animations for the site. Not stock loops, not a template pack. They were designed alongside the type and color system in Figma, so they move the way the rest of the brand behaves.
Rive was the right tool for this. Everything stays vector, so it looks sharp at any screen size. It runs as a real animation rather than a video file, which means I could tune timing and easing after the site was already live. And it slots into Framer cleanly, so the motion is part of the page instead of something pasted on top of it.
Cumulative Layout Shift on mobile is 0.021. The motion never pushes the content around while you read.

The “mobile-first” approach is no longer an option.
A beautiful design for desktop computers does not automatically guarantee an excellent mobile experience. Good responsive design isn’t just about resizing elements to fit the screen; it’s about ensuring they function effectively.
In this comparison, both versions are based on an identical desktop layout. The only difference lies in how the content is adapted for smaller screens.
In one version, everything is simply scaled down.
In the other, the hierarchy, spacing, and composition have been reimagined to meet the needs of mobile users.

Work in progress for a sport graphics package for a "Blitzball League" themed after Final Fantasy X. Plenty to do still, but the bones are strong. More to come.
