The Museum of Ordinary Objects

A quiet gallery where the things people kept — and let go of — are exhibited with the same care as fine art.

Most of the objects that hold real meaning in our lives never get preserved anywhere: a childhood toy, a worn kitchen tool, a ticket stub. The Museum of Ordinary Objects gives them a proper home. Users donate an everyday object with a photo and its story, and it joins a browsable public gallery organized into wings — Kitchen, Childhood, Tools, Paper, and Worn Out. Each visitor also gets their own Collection page to manage what they've donated, with full edit and delete control.

Built entirely in Bubble, using AI-assisted generation for the page layouts and design system, with custom-configured backend logic for authentication, per-user data scoping, and the wing-based filtering system. https://www.loom.com/share/4417b940f8574e58965641492c80b68f

Excited to share my submission for the #Bubble Free-For-All!

The project is Apero, a business concept focused on improving the restaurant dining experience. Instead of patrons getting bored or annoyed waiting for their food, Apero provides lightweight entertainment right at the table.

I’d been working on Apero prior to this, so I decided to see how far I could take the web build using Bubble to build it completely from scratch. The AI assistant was super helpful for quick iteration, but what really stood out was how seamlessly I could manage custom workflows, complex datasets, and distinct project pages.

Improvements are still underway, and testing with real restaurants will begin soon! However really happy with how it turned out so far and I'm excited to see all the other competition entries! 🙌 Check it out and let me know what you think!

THE BEST APP ICON MAY NOT EXPLAIN THE PRODUCT. It may trigger the next open. Same pet app. Two behavioral cues. 🐾 A creates instant recognition. The brain connects the icon with the pet before processing a feature or task. 📅 B creates functional context. It signals there is something to remember, check or manage. Both work, but for different parts of retention Recognition builds familiarity. Context creates a reason to return. I think B is the better option, though it could use a little more contrast. A feels too generic, if my Paws & Palms became an app, its icon could end up looking very similar to A and get confused with other apps. Something more unique and instantly identifiable would help it stand out.
