AI Invoice Details Extractor — Model Training
The next stage of my AI Invoice Details Extractor project focused on training a document-understanding model to automatically identify and extract important information from invoices.
After completing the data collection and preprocessing pipeline, I trained LayoutLMv3 using PyTorch. LayoutLMv3 was selected because it is designed specifically for understanding documents by combining text, visual information, and the spatial layout of elements on a page—making it well suited for complex invoice formats.
During this stage, the invoice dataset was prepared in a format suitable for model training, including the required text, bounding-box coordinates, document images, and corresponding labels. The model was then fine-tuned on the invoice dataset to learn how different fields and entities are positioned and represented within invoices.
The training pipeline involved:
Preparing annotated invoice data for LayoutLMv3
Converting document information into model-compatible inputs
Fine-tuning the pretrained LayoutLMv3 model
Training the model using PyTorch
Monitoring the training process and model performance
Evaluating the model's ability to identify invoice entities and fields
This stage moved the project from data preparation to actual document intelligence, creating the foundation for an automated system capable of extracting structured information from invoices with different layouts and formats.
The next step is to evaluate and improve the trained model, followed by integrating it into an end-to-end invoice extraction application.

Overview
CrowdVision AI is an intelligent crowd monitoring and safety analytics platform designed to help organisations monitor public spaces, understand crowd behaviour, and identify potentially unsafe crowd conditions.
The system uses computer vision and machine learning inference to analyse camera feeds and video streams, detect people, estimate occupancy, classify crowd density, and monitor movement across designated zones.
The Problem:
Monitoring crowded environments manually can be difficult, time-consuming, and inefficient. Security personnel may struggle to maintain accurate occupancy counts, monitor multiple zones, and identify unusual crowd conditions quickly.
CrowdVision AI was developed to explore how computer vision and real-time analytics could improve crowd visibility and monitoring.
My Solution:
I developed a computer vision system integrating a pretrained YOLO object-detection model with OpenCV for video processing.
The platform includes:

Entry and exit line counting.
Zone-based monitoring.
