The Human Update — New Anatomies for Digital Life Seventeenth-century geometric figures reimagined as bodies shaped by contemporary digital habits.
I discovered Giovanni Battista Bracelli’s Bizzarie di Varie Figure (1624) through The Public Domain Review, where human figures are constructed from geometric forms and everyday objects. Using seven public-domain references, I created a custom Recraft Style and reimagined those bodies around contemporary digital habits. Across eight illustrations, scrolling becomes anatomy, browser windows grow working arms, and a fragmented person presents a perfected digital self. The series closes with two figures putting their devices aside and returning their attention to each other.
