Rant. Honestly, the "end for programmers" is just the "end of the scapegoat". We (freelance programmers) have been out here building the apps and platforms and taking the blame for when things go wrong due to fundamental flaws of the whole web development industry which date back to prejudice against WordPress developers for being outsiders of the corporate culture and now these AI technologies are supposed to "replace" what? The good will of providing a well-intended service? I know there were many bad actors in the industry, but I say on good faith that the "programmer" isn't getting replaced more than the "scapegoat" is, meaning that now there won't be no excuses to why apps fail and when they do they're just going to burn more money on AI in a gigantic bet that these systems know what they're doing and how to fix the problem even though they were trained and instructed on the same pre-conceptions the industry is built upon which trace back to prideful and slow to change academic bias. There, I said it.
