EA Farm SCADA V2 is a modern industrial monitoring and control interface for agricultural automation systems.
I worked on the V2 application architecture and interface, connecting the web application to industrial controllers through Modbus TCP and WebSockets for real-time monitoring and control.
The system handles digital and analog I/O, equipment states, live telemetry, configuration, authentication, and audit logging through a React-based interface designed for actual farm operations.
The main challenge was balancing a modern, responsive UI with the reliability and predictability required by an industrial control system. I focused on clear operator workflows, real-time state synchronization, safe communication handling, and an architecture that can work both locally and across a LAN.
Stack: React, Vite, TypeScript/JavaScript, Zustand, Express, Modbus TCP, WebSockets, JSON, Inno Setup

Linking the UI to controllers with Modbus TCP and WebSockets gives you instant data without polling. That direct line keeps the dashboard in sync with field equipment.

yeah, pretty much except the polling happens on the server side. Modbus TCP talks to the controller, then websockets push the updated state to the UI, that way the frontend stays synced in real time without directly hammering the controller
