So, as some of you may know, I recently started out on Contra with my web studio, OFFSCRIPT.
Starting out is exciting, but it also comes with a few challenges. I don't have a budget for ads, paid marketing campaigns, expensive CRM subscriptions, or premium AI tools. What I do have is a portfolio, some demo projects, my skills, and the motivation to find clients and get things moving.
So I started thinking about how I could make the most of the resources I already had.
While browsing GitHub, I came across this repository:
It's a huge collection of free APIs, and it got me thinking: instead of paying for several different tools, why not connect some of these resources and build something that actually fits my workflow?
That idea eventually turned into an internal CRM and business development platform for OFFSCRIPT.
The goal is pretty straightforward: make finding potential clients, researching companies, and managing the whole outreach process a little easier.
I've been working on a few features:
Lead Intelligence: Finding potential clients through different sources, collecting company information, and organizing leads in one place.
CRM & Pipeline Management: Keeping track of companies, contacts, opportunities, notes, tasks, and follow-ups without relying on another paid CRM.
API & Platform Connections: Exploring and connecting useful APIs and services, including GitHub and other platforms, to bring different sources and tools together.
AI Assistance: Using AI to help analyze leads, understand potential opportunities, and prepare personalized outreach drafts.
Workflow Automation: Automating repetitive tasks and setting up workflows that make the process less manual.
Analytics: Getting a better overview of leads, potential opportunities, and how the whole process is developing.
One part I particularly enjoy is that this isn't just another CRM I wanted to build for the sake of building one. It's something I actually need for my own studio. Every feature has a reason to exist, and there's always another idea or improvement I can work on.
It's still a work in progress, and some integrations need further configuration, but it's already been a really interesting project to develop.
And honestly, that's what I enjoy about building things: sometimes limitations force you to approach a problem differently. You start looking at what's already available, connect a few dots, experiment, and eventually create something useful out of it.
You don't always need a big budget to get started. Sometimes you just need an idea, a bit of curiosity, and the willingness to build the tools you wish you had. Would love to hear some thoughts on this!

I designed it as one continuous space: real-time 3D scenes you move through, with my products and work inside them. Orbiwatch, Unveil3D, AnyRun, Dr Sophia AI, Newbold Connect and more.
I put a lot of love and care into every detail of it, and I'd love to do the same for you.
The redesign is here to show what's possible, and to connect me with the kind of businesses I want to partner with. My favourite work is on products where there's room to take care over every detail. Those details shape how people feel when they use a product, and I always want that feeling to be a good one.
