Title: THE EXHAUSTED ROAD
Description: What if we looked just outside the frame of a miracle?
For the #FLORAMuseumChallenge, I reimagined Giovanni Maria Morlaiter’s mid-18th century terracotta relief, The Flight Into Egypt. The original piece captures a serene, divine moment insulated by angels. I wanted to flip that perspective and build the harsh human reality of what it actually meant to flee across a freezing, unfamiliar desert at night.
I used FLORA to build a 30-second cinematic short film using the Seedance 2.5 model. To honor the original medium, I prompted for a gritty, black-and-white stop-motion claymation aesthetic. Using Seedance's native audio sync and timed shot lists, I directed a sequence that starts tight on the characters' exhaustion and slowly pulls out to reveal the terrifying vastness of the empty desert, complete with the sound of howling wind and a dying campfire.
