I think the best AI agent may be the one your users never have to open.
Many AI features still follow the same pattern: Open a chat. Write a prompt. Copy the answer. Paste it into another tool.
It can be useful. But sometimes it is just another window and another task for the user.
I am much more interested in a different approach: AI that works inside a process the team already uses.
Here is a simple example.
A new lead fills out a form on a Webflow site.
An AI agent validates the data, researches the company, updates the CRM, and drafts a personalized response. If the case is unclear, it asks a sales manager to step in.
Nobody has to open a separate AI tool and explain what happened.
The manager simply sees a complete CRM record, a ready-to-review draft, and a clear next step.
For me, that is the important shift: From AI as a separate product to AI as part of the workflow.
Building a chat interface around a capable model is no longer the hardest part.
The harder part is building an agent that can:
- receive the right context without a long explanation; - work safely with real tools; - understand what it can do independently; - stop when a person needs to make the decision; - leave behind a clear result that is easy to verify.
I do not think we need more AI chat windows.
We need fewer tool switches, less copying and pasting, and more work actually getting done. If people still have to explain the context every time and move every answer by hand, something is still missing from the workflow. A good AI agent does not add another tool to the workday.
It quietly removes a few unnecessary steps from a process that already exists.
What about your workflow: is AI already built into it, or does it still live in a separate chat window?
I help founders and teams turn AI ideas into reliable full-stack products, automations, and Webflow-powered workflows.
