One thing I’ve learned the hard way. Bounce rate is often not a content problem. It’s a loading problem.
In many Next.js projects I’ve worked on, the biggest performance issues came from images, not code. Large hero visuals, unoptimized galleries and mobile devices don’t mix well.
Once images are handled properly with Next.js Image, everything changes. Pages render faster, scrolling feels smoother and users stay long enough to actually see the content.
On a real estate landing, fixing image delivery alone was enough to reduce bounce rate and improve engagement.
How do you usually approach image optimization in your Next.js apps?

100% agree. Images are often the hidden reason behind high bounce rate, especially on mobile. Once you get Next.js Image + proper sizing and lazy loading right, the whole site feels faster and users actually stick around.
