Most apps lose users before they even get to the good part. And poor onboarding is usually why.

I've always believed the first few screens are the most important ones. Get them wrong and it doesn't matter how good the rest of the product is.

For AI Nutrition I designed a 20-screen onboarding. Sounds like a lot, but the completion rate hit 83%. Because every step felt natural and engaging.

64% of my Claude Design limit. Gone. Before I designed a single screen. 😅 I never start a project without a design system in place - so naturally, the first thing I did was import the full shadcn/ui system straight from the official GitHub repo. Needed some tweaks, but at least I didn't build it from scratch. Still somehow burned through half my limit doing it. 🙃 Can't imagine using it on an actual project with this kind of consumption, but interesting nonetheless.
