I'm new here - so let me share a bit about myself. The Jean Michelle Jarre "Concerts in China" from 1982 kickstarted my life. I was so intrigued with his synths and sounds - as well as his artwork/graphic design, that it shaped me to a dual career - one as an Art Director and one as a Composer. I never stopped doing both.
And still to this day I do 2 different things as a professional. I've been an Art Director for Mercedes Benz and I've done Music for Nike, HBO, Sony Playstation and many more. My AD education just strengthed my understanding of music for ads, film or tv.
I see music and visuals as two different outputs but basically the same thing. It's the same "feelings" in me when I design and compose. Makes sense?
