I created this logo and art direction for Black Honey Social earlier this year. Black Honey Social is an intimate cocktail bar and lounge where mood and mixology meet.

My goal was to come up with an identity that evokes richness without being overly decadent. I went with honey tones but took the dark end of that range even darker to fit the mood.

I used Adobe Firefly to create amorphous honey drips and then apply the texture to my logo and icon designs. I don't use AI to handle the creation of foundational assets like logos, but I don't see an issue using it to enhance designs I've created. I also came up with "Set the tone." as a tag line. Pairing it with images of mysterious and elegant interiors helps define the ambiance patrons can expect to find at Black Honey Social.
