What makes a documentary trailer convert? RedBull uses subtle, eased editing, that lets the athletes greatness speak. But does the algorithm like that? Trailers are unique in that they work well as short form content. They hook viewers and companies like HBO have been using smash cut after smash cut for trailers for years. So why doesn't it feel like we get advertised trailers through organic socials when they're designed to stimulate the algorithm in the exact same way?
Because they still feel like we're being sold something. That's where internet trends can bridge that gap. TikTok sounds like "FLY" by Spectrum is an opportunity I saw with the recent documentary on RedBull.tv "She who flies".
I enjoyed this exploration into the technique, but it will take some more time to perfect.
