Big news: Iβve been invited to join the Contra Labs Network as a Video Editor.
Iβm genuinely excited about this opportunity, and Iβve already completed my first evaluation.
What I find especially interesting about Contra Labs is that it focuses on something AI development still often underestimates: expert judgment.
A video can be technically clean and still fail. The idea might be unclear, the pacing might not hold attention, the ad might not communicate its message, or the story might never really land.
The real question is not only βdoes it look good?β Itβs also βdoes it communicate, persuade, tell the story clearly, and work for the audience?β
Contra Labs brings experienced creatives into the process of evaluating AI-generated work and helping AI teams understand what makes an image or video effective in practice.
That feels very close to my work across AI video, editing, visual development, advertising, and creative direction. Making something look good is only part of it. It also has to communicate the idea, tell the story clearly, and do the job it was created for.
I hope my first evaluation helps future models get better at those decisions.
