I want this to be my first Contra post:
I'm a perfectionist...
It’s been 2 years since I decided to start building websites.
I still remember the beginning... just an idea, and a lot of uncertainty
I wanted something better, something that felt alive. I didn’t even know at the time if there was a tool that could allow me to do that
It wasn’t easy. There were moments I felt stuck, even lost in the process. Sometimes I felt like it wasn’t for me...
But then one day, when I decided to give this dream one last chance before letting it go, I came across a YouTube video of a @Framer designer building a site with animations
Time stopped for me. It felt like a sudden spark. like finally a door opened.. I just can't describe my feeling at the time...
I stuck with it. I kept learning this tool until I mastered it.
Now, 2 years later, I can confidently say: THAT LAST CHANCE I GAVE MY DREAM, WHEN ALL DOORS WERE SHUT, WAS ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I'VE MADE

Inspired by the organic movement of jellyfish, this concept explores how lighting can feel alive within a digital space.
This project was designed and built in Framer, combining visuals with interaction:
– custom code component with floating jellyfish in the background
– scroll-triggered light activation (lamp gradually “wakes up”)
– progressive text reveal for a softer narrative entry
– glass-style logo shader using Framer’s latest visual capabilities
The goal was to create a calm, immersive product moment - something between a landing page and a sensory experience.
This is solid 👏 The overall presentation is very strong
🔥 Part 2: Most people choose the wrong tool (and realize it too late)

One thing became obvious: people don’t choose between WordPress and Framer… They choose based on what feels easier right now.
Not what they’ll need in 6–12 months.
❗️And that’s where problems start.
Framer feels amazing at the beginning:
- fast to launch
- clean UI
- no complexity
But growth introduces friction:
- custom features
- integrations
- scalability limits
WordPress feels heavier upfront:
- setup
- structure
- decisions
But later?
- more control
- more flexibility
- fewer hard limits
👉 The real mistake isn’t choosing WordPress or Framer. It’s choosing without a time horizon.
So here’s a harder question:
👉 Are you building for:
- the next 2 weeks
or
- the next 2 years?
Because your answer already decides the tool.
I used Wordpress for 10 years and 1 day using Framer made me question them years.
I instantly switched.
The thought of going back to Wordpress makes me cringe to be honest.
With the design capabilities and speed Framer is advancing
