The Museum of Uninvented Things — A Collection of Impossible Inventions

The Museum of Uninvented Things is a fictional archive of extraordinary inventions that never existed. Inspired by antique scientific engravings and historical laboratory illustrations, the series imagines six impossible devices: a Cloud Collector, a Memory Preserver, a Dream Measurer, a Pocket Weather Maker, an Instant Garden Capsule, and a Portable Universe.

I created a consistent visual language using dark sepia ink, intricate engraved linework, detailed cross-hatching, and aged ivory paper to evoke the feeling of a forgotten scientific museum. Each image is presented as an archival artifact from an alternate history where forgotten inventors explored the boundaries of imagination.

The project combines historical engraving aesthetics with surreal speculative invention, transforming imaginary ideas into a cohesive collection of museum-worthy illustrations.
