But we have no idea where they are from.
So I built something for the Figma Makeathon challenge.
Event Globe 🌍 (https://eventglobe.figma.site)
A live 3D world map where participants pin their name and photo to their country, instantly turning a number into real faces around the world.
From “487 attendees” to:
“Hussein • NL”
“Marta • ES”
“Daniel • BR” Suddenly, it feels global. If you are joining, add your name and see yourself on the globe. 🤩 Would you use this for your event?

I changed the code so that users can add their names locally. However, the admin can add users universally. I did this because some intruders were generating high traffic on the website and causing overload.

I wanted to see if I could use @Figma Make to build a live, safe, and fully functional global guestbook. The result is a platform where you can drop a love letter anywhere on the map and read messages from strangers across the globe.
The Tech Stack:
Backend: Powered by @Supabase for real-time global data storage.
Safety First: Integrated AI moderation to filter curse words/toxic content.
Language Control: An English-only filter to ensure high-quality auto-moderation.
Management: A custom Admin Panel to keep the map clean and moderated.
Experience: Fully responsive design—because love should be accessible on any device.
