I use Capcut every single day, editing short-form content for business owners and fitness coaches, and here's what's made the biggest difference in my workflow:
Auto-captions: 85% of people watch videos on mute. Turning this on takes 10 seconds and immediately makes your video more watchable. Clean it up manually after, and you're done.
Auto-cut silence: This one alone saves me 15–20 minutes per video. It finds every pause in the footage and removes it automatically.
Speed curve: Instead of just speeding up clips, you can ramp the speed. Fast in the middle, slow at the start and end, making your transitions look cinematic instead of cheap.
Beat sync: Drop your music in and let CapCut mark the beats. Then cut your clips to hit those markers.
Cover frame: Most people skip this. The cover frame is your thumbnail on Instagram's grid. Setting it intentionally affects whether someone clicks your profile.
