I grew up loving football, and I know how hard it is to find a pickup game. It usually means digging through WhatsApp groups and hoping someone has a spare spot. So I built Jogo on @Base44.
Jogo connects players to games around them, from casual kickabouts to properly competitive matches. Pick a city, join in a few taps, and get a match ticket.
THE AUTOMATION
• A spot opens up and the next person on the waitlist is promoted and notified automatically
• If a game doesn't reach its minimum players by the cutoff, it's cancelled and everyone is told; if it does, it's confirmed
• Teams are balanced automatically from each player's position and rating
• Reminders go out before kickoff, no-shows are tracked, and the Man of the Match vote opens and closes by itself
• Organisers see a live activity feed of everything the system did
Players just show up. Organisers just organise.
YOUR OWN CARD
Every player gets a pixel-art trading card: pick a head, skin tone and club or national-team theme, and show up with a card that's actually yours. Stats are earned by playing. Download it and share it.
HOW I BUILT IT
Base44 can't draw faces well, so I made the pixel heads outside it, turned them into a sprite atlas and layered masks, and had Base44 use them as assets. The look is a pixel font, an animated gradient and a little footballer juggling down the page.
The games and pitches are demo data for now, since a real community comes after the product exists.
Tap the juggler, build your card, then open the organiser side and hit "Run a match night".
PS: the video stutters because my laptop was overloaded while recording (the site's animated background is graphics-heavy). The live link runs smoother.
