Series: What Remains
Pilot: episode 1.- The Healer
What Remains is a supernatural psychological horror series set in the fictional town of Wren’s Crossing, Tennessee, in 1987.
The story follows Joseph Foster, a compassionate trauma therapist with an unusual ability to make people feel truly seen and understood. He believes he is helping people confront their pain. But something darker may be happening beneath the surface.
In the pilot, Joseph makes an early-morning house call to John Phillips, a Vietnam veteran haunted by nightmares and survivor’s guilt. Joseph guides him through a painful memory, helping John finally speak about something he has carried for years.
Then Joseph takes his hand.
And somehow, the pain seems to lessen. Not completely, but John can breathe again.
For the first time in years, John feels lighter. The memory is still there, but the grief attached to it has begun to fade. What should be impossible feels like relief.
Then John looks down the hallway and sees a scarred woman standing at the other end.
When he looks again, she is gone.
The episode introduces Joseph, the quiet town of Wren’s Crossing, and the central mystery of why the people Joseph helps begin feeling strangely free of their pain, while a terrifying woman starts appearing in their lives.
Where I would take the series next
As the series continues, Joseph helps more people throughout Wren’s Crossing, and the same strange pattern begins repeating.
They talk to Joseph. They confront something painful. And afterward, they feel better.
Sometimes dramatically better.
Grief becomes easier to carry. Trauma loses its emotional weight. Memories that once caused panic or despair suddenly feel distant. To Joseph, it seems like proof that he is helping people heal.
But the Scarred Woman begins appearing more frequently, and the people Joseph helps start experiencing strange gaps in their memories and emotional connections.
The larger story explores grief, memory, trauma, and a disturbing question: if you could remove the pain attached to your worst memories, what else might disappear with it?
Why I wanted to tell this story
I wanted to create a horror story where the monster is not simply evil, and where the person trying to save people may unknowingly be part of the danger.
What Remains is built around the idea that pain can be unbearable, but our memories, even the painful ones, are tied to the people we loved, the choices we made, and the people we became.
Sometimes what remains after the pain is gone may be more frightening than the pain itself.

Jack receives a delivery addressed to Elias Vale in London - but the scanner says the destination is London, 1897. After accepting the impossible delivery, Jack follows a mysterious temporal route and finds himself transported from modern-day London into the Victorian era. He arrives at Elias Vale's mysterious shop, where he learns that the strange route has chosen him as a courier. The episode ends when Jack's scanner announces that another impossible delivery is ready.
Where the Series Goes Next:
The series can expand into an ongoing adventure where every delivery takes Jack somewhere unexpected. Future episodes can explore different historical periods, futuristic versions of London, alternate realities, mysterious locations and recipients who should not exist.
As Jack completes more deliveries, he gradually discovers that the routes are connected and that Elias Vale knows far more about their origin than he initially reveals. Each episode can introduce a new mystery while continuing a larger story about who created the routes, why Jack was chosen, and where the delivery system ultimately leads.
The goal is to build a world where an ordinary delivery can become an adventure across time, space and reality, while keeping Jack's curiosity, humour and courier identity at the center of every episode.

Title: The Artifact (Episode 1: "Home")
Logline: In a world reduced to dust, one man's last inherited object might be the key to something humanity thought was gone forever — a home.
The Artifact follows Jaxson, one of the last people alive in a world where the atmosphere collapsed and civilization was erased down to bare desert. He lives in isolation with his friend James, scavenging meaning from a landscape with nothing left to scavenge — until a single object from his childhood, entrusted to him by his father with the words "when you need a home, you'll find this," turns out to be more than a keepsake.
The pilot opens with Jaxson's own voice defining the stakes of this world: survival without purpose, waiting for an ending rather than living toward anything. That changes the moment he rediscovers the artifact his father gave him. Paired with a map James has been silently piecing together, the two set out across the wasteland to a massive, unnatural circular mark scorched into the desert — a scar too precise to be geological. When Jaxson places the artifact into a socket built to fit it exactly, the ground answers: a buried city rises from beneath the sand, shedding centuries of burial in real time.
The episode ends not with an explanation, but a reveal — deliberately withholding the why. Who built the city? Why was it hidden, and why was the key entrusted to Jaxson's family specifically? Is this discovery a rescue for what's left of humanity, or does it wake something meant to stay buried? James's own unexplained find (the map) raises a second, parallel mystery still unresolved by episode's end, seeding a second character thread beyond Jaxson's.
This pilot is built to expand: the city itself becomes the setting for episode 2, the father's backstory and his connection to the artifact opens a mystery to unravel across the series, and the bond between Jaxson and James — two survivors who've had nothing but each other — gives the show its emotional core as they're forced to navigate whatever they've just uncovered together.

LAST SIP — Pilot: Someone Is Drinking My City
A whole city lives at the bottom of an ordinary glass of water. Pearl keeps it alive. When a giant striped straw threatens her neighbourhood, the tiny rescue robot turns her only red umbrella into a plug. The straw retreats. Then a teaspoon arrives.
Pearl is practical, warm and stubborn: a yellow diving suit, a dark visor with two bright eyes, and a very useful crimson umbrella. Every amber window is somebody's home. She treats enormous disasters like maintenance jobs: assess the problem, complain once, and keep the lights on.
The series turns familiar household objects into huge, instantly readable adventures. An ice cube becomes a moving glacier. A tea bag blocks out the sun. A refill brings a flood. Each episode gives Pearl one clear visual problem and an unexpected way to protect her city.
