Give a local business something worth showing off.
For the #GiveItAGlow challenge, I chose Snowworld Natural Hair Salon in Ibadan a business already known for great natural hair care but relying on manual processes to manage bookings.
📍 Before
The customer journey looked like this:
Instagram bio link only (no website)
Appointments collected through Google Forms
₦3,000 deposit via manual bank transfer
Staff manually verified payments before confirming bookings
Separate Google Form for apprenticeship applications
No automated appointment reminders
No centralized dashboard for managing bookings
Every booking required manual effort.

I designed and built a complete digital booking experience with Base44, giving Snowworld a modern platform that works for both customers and business owners.
What the new platform includes
✅ Professional website
✅ Complete service catalog with real pricing (20+ services)
✅ Real gallery showcasing their work
✅ Live appointment booking with availability checking
✅ Automatic prevention of double bookings
✅ Instant booking confirmations
✅ Automated appointment reminders
✅ AI assistant trained on their services, pricing, and business hours
✅ Customer review collection after appointments with approved reviews displayed on the homepage
✅ Owner dashboard for managing bookings, tracking revenue, monitoring appointment status, and exporting data
The Impact
Instead of:

Snowworld now has an automated system that saves time, improves the customer experience, and allows the owner to focus on serving clients instead of managing administrative tasks.
This project wasn't about building another demo—it was about creating a practical solution a real business could start using immediately.

I'm joining the #GiveItAGlow challenge by @Base44 and I'm building in public.
My pick: iDrop Premium Apple Resellers (idropdigital.com), attatching their old website image, a real Apple Authorised store in Sulthan Bathery, Kerala, India (38K+ on Instagram, 4.4★ on Google).
Here's the twist: they already have a slick website, but behind it, everything still runs manually through WhatsApp. Reservations, trade-ins, repairs, warranty claims… all by hand, nothing tracked.
So, I'm rebuilding it on Base44 as a real operational app:
→ Device reservations & repair bookings, captured, not lost in DMs
→ Instant trade-in / exchange estimates
→ A warranty & service-status checker (enter your Order ID, see live repair status)
→ An AI assistant for EMI, warranty & availability questions, 24/7
→ A full staff dashboard to run it all

I'm incredibly humbled by what I was able to build using the Base44 mobile app alone.
This week, I am away from my workstation, but the theme and direction of the challenge inspired me to take on a project anyway.
I decided to redesign the website for my favorite local barbershop, KAYZPLACE, after noticing several usability gaps the last time I visited it.
I'll admit, I was skeptical about whether I could complete an entire website using only my phone. But Base44 completely changed my perspective. Having used several website-building platforms in the past, I can confidently say this is one of the most optimized experiences I've had for mobile-first development.
The seamless performance across mobile, tablet, and desktop without compromising functionality genuinely impressed me. Using only my phone, I built a completely redesigned version of the KAYZPLACE website featuring:
• Online service booking
• KAYGENT, a custom AI assistant that answers FAQs, helps customers choose the right barber and service, explains pricing, assists with reservations, and provides personalized aftercare recommendations between visits
• An admin dashboard for managing bookings, tracking customer data, and sending email notifications
These capabilities were either missing on the original website. The new experience makes booking appointments significantly easier while giving the business better tools to organize appointments and customer information.
The most exciting part is that every aspect of this project was created entirely within the Base44 mobile app, without ever opening my computer.
The final product is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices, tablets, and desktop screens alike. I shared the finished website with the shop owner today, and his reaction made all the effort worthwhile. Seeing how excited he was about the transformation reminded me why I love building products that solve real problems.

This challenge has been both inspiring and genuinely enjoyable, and it's amazing to see what's possible with the right tools even from the palm of your hand.
