The Edible City
A concept for a mixed use agricultural and commercial space that contributes to alleviating food insecurity in urban Cape Town by providing meals as well as the knowledge and the means for self sustenance to individuals, households and communities experiencing food insecurity in the city.
Hydroponics, aeroponics and small-scale traditional farming grow produce for seeds, retail, and restaurant use. The space aims to be an example of integrating urban agriculture with the built environment to offer surrounding communities jobs, useful information, skills, and alternative paths to self sufficiency.

Every visitor leaves behind a unique fruit that represents them.
You choose a fruit, give it a label, add a few pieces of identity, and answer a prompt about something you're carrying, longing for, or wishing someone understood.
Then you place it on the shelf.
The result is a market full of anonymous human artifacts:
A mango who is missing home.
A peach who is terrified of graduating.
A dragon fruit who is searching for purpose.
The idea came from a question:
How deeply can we understand each other when names are removed?
Built with Figma and Figma Make on my humble phone and tablet. My goal was to create a whimsical, imperfect, yet vulnerable space that feels somewhere between a community bulletin board, a missed-connections page, and a message in a bottle.

I built Symbiotic City — a full-stack sustainable community platform that connects residents, businesses, and local authorities to co-create greener, smarter, and more resilient cities.
🔍 The Problem:
Cities are growing rapidly, but communities are becoming increasingly disconnected. Thousands of sustainability efforts — community gardens, recycling drives, youth mentorship programs — happen in isolation with no unified platform to bring people together and amplify their impact.

Discover, register for & create local sustainability events — clean-up days, gardening masterclasses, digital skills workshops — with live attendee tracking

Join or create community-driven initiatives with real progress tracking, impact levels & member counts

Instantly locate nearby police stations, hospitals & fire stations with one-tap calling
🔐 Dual Role Auth
Regular Users & Site Owners with role-based access and personalised dashboards
⚙️ Built entirely with Figma's suite of AI tools:
→ Figma Make — entire app built through AI-powered prompts
→ Figma Agent — design refinement and interactions on canvas
→ Supabase — full live backend with 10+ tables, auth, cart, orders & notifications
→ Figma Sites — published as a live, publicly accessible web app
