Just listened to a branding podcast where French agencies said: most portfolios they get show identities only through print (business cards, posters, stationery) with almost no web or landing page mockups.
👉 Is it the same where you live? Do designers showcase brands mainly in digital, print, or both?
Curious if this is a cultural thing or an industry-wide habit 👀
@Ségolène Aubourg I think it’s might be an industry-wide thing! I catch myself doing it too. I think it's because a lot of designers still see web as ‘outside’ brand work. I do try to show layouts/graphics in digital/social contexts, but I haven’t done many landing page mockups yet.
@Chirag Madhu Not really a preference : it’s more that French design schools still focus a lot on print. Agencies actually wish they saw more digital work. Maybe it’s cultural too: France has a strong print tradition, while the US leans more toward tech and digital (I guess ?)
