When I first planned this Veterinary Clinic Management System, my instinct was to build it with the MERN stack.
But after understanding how the clinic actually worked, I realised WordPress was the better choice.
The clinic was managing appointments over the phone and keeping pet records manually. As they grew, finding information quickly and keeping everything organised became a challenge.
My focus wasn't on using the latest technology—it was on building something the team could use every day with ease. I spent most of my time simplifying the workflow so booking appointments and accessing pet records felt quick and intuitive.
The result was a WordPress-based system with online appointment booking, digital pet records, vaccination tracking, and an admin dashboard that brings everything together.
This project was a good reminder that the best technology isn't always the newest—it's the one that solves the client's problem.
Have you ever changed your tech stack after understanding a client's real needs?
