Just wrapped a QR ordering & table-management SaaS for restaurants - guests scan a QR code at their table, land on a branded digital menu pre-filled with their table ID, and check out without a waiter. Commission-free, end to end.
What I built: ◾ Frontend: React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS - responsive, mobile-first menu and cart flow ◾ Backend: Node.js, REST APIs, Stripe Checkout + webhook-driven order confirmation, real-time order handling ◾ Infra: Supabase (auth + database), Vercel, QR code generation with table-linked routing
The fun part was the table-aware routing - each QR encodes a table ID, so the menu, cart, and kitchen dashboard all stay in sync without the guest doing anything but scanning. Staff get incoming orders live, update statuses, and manage the menu from a café-side dashboard.
Restaurant tech is a great test of real-time UX - every second of latency between "order placed" and "kitchen sees it" matters.
