I recently opened up my project archives to do exactly this. What started as a simple modeling exercise evolved into a full lighting and material study. I used this session to refine the metal textures and dial in the studio lighting, all within Blender.
This is a solid reminder... Looking at old work takes the pressure off and shows how far you've come.
