AstraMail is a production-deployed SaaS that turns a cluttered Gmail inbox into a prioritized, decision-ready workspace. Users sign in with Google, grant read-only OAuth access, and the app syncs their inbox and runs every message through an AI triage engine that assigns a priority level, category, and sentiment, writes a one-line summary, and flags whether action is required along with the suggested next step so users know what to open first without reading a single full email. Built as a React + Vite + Tailwind frontend on a NestJS/TypeScript API, with MongoDB for accounts, OAuth tokens, synced mail, and usage metrics, and Google Gemini powering the triage layer behind a structured-JSON contract with a deterministic fallback path so the product never breaks when the model does. Ships with per-account AI quota metering and admin overrides for cost control, and is containerized end-to-end with Docker Compose behind a Caddy reverse proxy — single exposed port, private internal API and database network, persistent volumes, and HTTPS on a live domain.
