Every tiny person is 1,000 tech layoffs. 842 of them walk out by the end.

The first version showed the layoffs as boxes. They were unclear, so they became people leaving the buildings. 20 seconds was too fast, so it grew to 30.

Each of the 32 switches is a dated fact: ChatGPT going public, Amazon cutting 14,000, a fully specced MacBook Pro at $14,549. Layoffs.fyi has tracked 841,640 layoffs worldwide since 2022. Not all of that is AI.

The world is drawn on one 1,100 × 675 grid and lit pixel by pixel, so nothing looks like a scaled image. Built in Remotion with Claude Opus 5.5. GPT-6 Astra made the pixel art and did the research.

It's happening everywhere. It hits everybody. Previous roles don't work anymore.
