This quote really resonates with me.
A great QA isn’t about testing everythin, it’s about understanding risk, impact, and behaviour. Knowing where to go deep and where not to over-test comes only with experience, context, and collaboration with the team.
Testing smartly means:
- Focusing on critical user flows, not just edge cases for the sake of it
- Understanding how users actually interact with the product
- Spending time where failures would hurt the most
- Letting go of low-impact checks that don’t add value
Quality isn’t measured by the number of test cases executed, but by the confidence the product gives when it goes live.
This mindset has helped me see QA not as a gatekeeper, but as a partner in building better software.
