Project Description
Silent Morning: Living With Distorted Sound is a cinematic short film showing the daily reality of living with hearing loss.
The story follows a man through his morning routine. Inside his home, everyday sounds are absent or barely perceived. After putting on his hearing devices, the outside world becomes overwhelming rather than clear. Traffic, engines, footsteps and voices blend into confusing mechanical noise where individual sounds cannot be distinguished.
At work, greetings and conversations become difficult because voices disappear into background noise, showing the invisible exhaustion and isolation caused by distorted hearing
Process Steps
- Developed the concept around the sensory experience of hearing loss.
- Structured the story from silence to sound overload.
- Created cinematic prompts focused on realism, close-ups and emotional storytelling.
- Refined continuity, atmosphere and sound perception scenes inside Melius.
- Cinematic Prompt Design: I created prompts focused on realistic cinematic storytelling rather than stylized AI visuals.
- Final output: a short film portraying the hidden reality of distorted hearing.
Feedback
Melius helped organize the project visually and maintain emotional continuity between scenes. The node workflow made it easier to refine atmosphere, realism and narrative progression across the film.
