3 mistakes I see every GoHighLevel user making that creates 100s of duplicate leads (and how I fix with n8n + Slack queue):
Mistake 1: No deduplication logic between FB Lead Ads -> GHL
Fix: n8n checks email+phone exists -> If exact match -> Auto merge + Telegram alert -> If fuzzy match -> Maybe pile -> Slack queue
Mistake 2: Custom-field merge without human confirm
Fix: If same email + different first name -> Tag "household" -> Don't auto merge -> Slack review - Could be couple sharing email - Thanks Zakaria MAMOUMI for catch!
Mistake 3: Silently dropping leads when duplicate found
Fix: Never silent drop - Slack queue with 2 buttons: Merge / Keep Separate - Human decides - Webhook -> n8n -> GHL update
My updated flow:
Exact match (email+phone) -> Auto merge
Fuzzy match (same email diff phone OR same phone diff email) -> Maybe pile -> Slack queue -> Human confirm -> Then merge
Household tag -> Keep separate + note "Couple - shared email/phone"
Result: 0 silent drops, 0 lost leads, 100% clean CRM - Saves 10 hrs/week + recovers 15% leads
