Been building a language with Rust called Olive. Python FFI is native, no ceremony.
The screenshot is real: import py "turtle" as turtle, then you just use it like a normal import. No wrappers, no glue code, no rewriting the library, it just talks to Python directly.
Olive's goal is to be fast without giving up on safety and ergonomics.
Still early and rough around the edges, but it's satisfying watching two languages that were never meant to cooperate just... work together.
