I’ve seen websites with:
→ Beautiful animations
→ Modern layouts
→ Great typography
→ Strong branding
…and still very few conversions.
Why?
Because design and conversion are two different things.
Before rebuilding a website, I usually look at:
• Is the value proposition clear within 5 seconds?
• Is the CTA obvious?
• Does the page guide visitors toward one action?
• Is the mobile experience actually easy to use?
• Are there unnecessary sections creating friction?
This is especially important with Webflow.
A clean Webflow build is great.
A clean Webflow build that turns visitors into leads is much better.
What’s one website element you think is most overlooked when it comes to conversions?
Just finished building FixFlow, a booking management system for an appliance repair service in Austin, Texas!
The goal was simple: turn a customer’s appliance repair problem into a structured job and confirmed appointment while reducing the manual work for the repair business. The system connects the complete workflow in one place:
1. Customer selects the appliance that needs repair
2. Describes the problem and gets an upfront estimate
3. Chooses an available appointment slot
4. Reviews the job details and confirms the booking
5. The owner receives customer details, appliance information, repair details, and appointment time in one place
The owner can also manage upcoming jobs, booking status, calendar updates, and rescheduling from one dashboard.
The goal was to replace the usual back-and-forth messages, calendar checks, confirmations, and manual reminders with a simpler booking experience.
I focused on making the experience simple, clear, and practical rather than just creating another generic booking interface.
This project helped me think more about the actual business problem, user journey, and how a well-designed workflow can reduce repetitive coordination for a small service business.
