Update on recording software tools:
With the wondeful rec from @Madi 💫 I tried out screen.studio.
It's a great tool. But you need to pay to export.
As a designer spending 100+ on other subscriptions, I couldn't stomach paying for another.
So... here's a free alternative which is just as good:

It's open source, but also has paid features should you need.
