I built that for FaceIt by ZK, a skincare brand with 12+ products and 1,300+ reviews.
The problem: customers land on the store, see a wall of serums and creams, and have no idea what's right for their skin. They either guess wrong or bounce.
The fix: an AI skin scanner built directly into the Shopify storefront. Tap a button, scan your face, get a personalized skincare routine. One click to add everything to cart.
The AI detects acne, pigmentation, texture issues, pores, and uneven tone, then maps each concern to the exact product in the catalog. Acne? Anti Acne Serum. Pigmentation? Pigmentation Serum. It's not random recommendations. It's a personalized consultation.
The hard part was making it work on cheap Android phones in Pakistan just as well as an iPhone 15. Low-light cameras, small screens, slow connections. All handled.
