UI Redesign for PlayUpWars: Aligning Visual Identity with Gaming Micro-Trends

The original UI for PlayUpWars struggled with a "genre-gap"—the visuals didn't resonate with the high-energy gaming niche the brand occupies. I was brought in to overhaul the static UI for both desktop and mobile, transforming a generic layout into a high-octane gaming environment.

Working with client-provided character assets, I engineered a dark-themed, immersive interface that prioritizes visual hierarchy and user engagement. A brand exploration.

The idea was to build a visual system around agriculture without relying only on literal imagery.

Generative patterns inspired by wind, weather, and field formations form the core identity. Vibrant colors bring energy, while dithering textures add a slightly organic feel.

Photography can still carry the human side of farming, while the abstract patterns create a flexible system.
