Built a WhatsApp AI agent that handles appointment booking end-to-end without human intervention.

How it works:

Patient or client sends a WhatsApp message requesting an appointment

AI agent (powered via OpenRouter API) understands the request, checks real-time availability, and proposes available time slots

Client confirms slot directly in the WhatsApp conversation

Appointment is automatically created in Google Calendar with client details, date, time, and notes

Confirmation message sent back to client on WhatsApp instantly

Automated reminders sent 24 hours and 2 hours before the appointment

Integrations built:

WhatsApp Business Cloud API for messaging

OpenRouter API for AI conversation handling

Google Calendar API for real-time availability and booking

Google Sheets as lightweight client database

Result: eliminated 100% of manual back-and-forth scheduling. Clients book, confirm, and receive reminders without any human involvement. Works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Built in n8n with custom webhook handling and conversation state management.
