Legacies is a genealogy platform designed to help people explore, organize, and connect their family histories.
The project focuses on making African family history easier to document and navigate. Users can begin with information such as a family name, compound, village, Local Government Area, or state and use that information to build a structured family history.
The platform is designed around family trees and shared ancestry, with the goal of helping people discover connections between relatives and preserve information that might otherwise be lost across generations.
I built the application as a full-stack project, working across the frontend and backend. The backend uses Node.js and Express, with PostgreSQL for storing and organizing family data.
