I entered the #Base44GlowItUpChallenge. I didn't win. Here's what I'm taking from it anyway. When the results came out, my name wasn't on the list. And I'd be lying if I said that didn't sting a little. I put real thought into the submission. The build was clean, the redesign was deliberate, and I stood behind every decision I made. But the judges saw it differently.. and that's completely valid. Here's what I'm not going to do: pretend it didn't matter, or dress up the loss as something it wasn't. What I will do is be honest about what the experience actually gave me: → A finished, polished build under a real deadline, something speculative work rarely forces you to complete → A clearer understanding of how I work under pressure with AI-assisted tools, what I reach for first, where I slow down, where I move fast → A piece of work I'm genuinely proud of, regardless of where it placed One thing worth mentioning for anyone considering Base44 as a platform: the free plan is now capped at 5 buildable apps. That's a meaningful constraint depending on how you work, it's a great platform for individuals running multiple businesses. Competition or not, the build exists. The thinking behind it exists. And both of those will show up in the next project, paid or otherwise. Not every entry wins. Every entry teaches you something if you let it. On to the next one. #NoCode #AIAssistedDevelopment
