Meet Oni, my submission for the #FigmaMakeathon. ☁️✨ I have always had incredibly vivid, “crazy” dreams, but they usually fade within hours, even minutes. But even when the details disappear, the excitement remains. With just a few days to enter, and limited AI credits, I decided to turn that personal experience into a reality. What if the next world-changing idea is currently trapped in your sleep? History’s biggest breakthroughs, from the Periodic Table to Google, didn’t start in a lab or a boardroom. They started as dreams. But dreams are fragile; they fade the moment we wake up. The Philosophy Innovation isn’t about reinventing the wheel; it’s about knowing which wheels to use to build a chariot. In building Oni, I leaned into our shared tech culture. By utilising public libraries and #FigmaMake AI, I’m not just designing,I’m participating in the craft of thousands to reach the subconscious. The App I built Oni to ensure we never lose that spark. It’s a bridge between the subconscious and reality where you can: - Immerse (Concept): Experience a fluid dreamscape UI that follows you even after you close the app, subtly transforming your device’s theme. - Capture: Record fleeting dream details before they vanish. - Visualise: Turn those fragments into instant AI-generated imagery. - Bridge: Transform midnight sparks into your next big project. Real-world Dreamers - The Periodic Table: Mendeleev saw the elements fall into place in a single dream. - The Sewing Machine: Elias Howe’s mechanical epiphany came from spears in a dream. - “Yesterday”: Paul McCartney woke up with a melody so complete he thought he’d stolen it. - Google: Larry Page dreamt of downloading the entire web.
