Summary
For new as well as migration projects, an in-depth design is very important to ensure smooth operations, performance and availability, a high level of security and an operational budget (cloud resource cost) which is under control.
We create a design for the cloud infrastructure and implementation with Terraform or ARM templates depending on the infrastructure, availability and security requirements.
Process
Gather requirements: based on existing documents or workshops, the requirements are gathered and/or refined and categorized (functional, technical, security and compliance). In general a discussion about availability and recovery time objective takes place as well to define the balance between the cloud operational (resource) cost on one end and (unavailability) risk on the other end.
High level design: create a high level cloud design, including regions, availability zones and all major cloud services.
Detailed cloud design: create a detailed and technical cloud design which defines (if applicable) an IP plan, NSGs, WAF and firewall rules, managed identities, endpoint identities, custom roles, etc..
Implementation: implementation of the design using Terraform or ARM templates.
Testing: testing of all connections and application flows.
Support & maintenance (optional): we can provide support and maintenance activities for updates and evolution upon request.
