Summary

As an artist and designer with a fervent passion for literature, I will help you make your vision of the perfect book cover come true. I have experience in Adobe software such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I love experimenting with formats, textures, color combinations, themes,.. In short, I am a very curious person who loves to learn new skills and would be glad to help you in your quest to find the most perfectly suited cover for your book.

Process

The first step would be to discuss the contents of the book itself. Getting to know the main themes of the book, its most important elements, and its outcome, would be a necessity, because what we want is a cover which will represent the book with utmost accuracy.

The second step is choosing the format of the cover (height, width, size of the spine, etc..). The general mood of it will also be decided, as well as the elements that would imperatively have to figure in it, the potential color palette, etc..

Then the next step is for me to experiment, to think and search for the perfect combinations, the possible fonts for the title, the general layout of the elements. At the end of that step, you will receive a PDF containing all of the ideas and propositions explored in rough sketches.

The fourth step here is, again, discussing the cover. You will tell me which idea(s) is the most well-suited, which font, which color combinations, or anything that would have caught your eye and which you would want to figure in the final cover.

Then you will receive a pair of PDF and JPEG documents containing two different ideas resulting from the previously-made choices. You will then decide on the final cover, and will receive it later (in both formats), polished and taking into account your observations and all the slight changes you would want to make.

Then, and this is optional, you will have the possibility to ask for a final revision, and at the end of it, will receive the final book cover design, in both PDF and JPEG formats.

What's included

A PDF containing cover design ideas
A first set of ideas with a few roughly sketched covers (with front, spine, and back) to explore different layouts, fonts, colors, elements, etc.. The document will be a simple PDF containing all the cover ideas and explorations.
A set of two cover designs to choose from
Two cover designs selected from the first sketches, in both PDF and JPEG formats. The covers will contain front, spine, and back, and each part's size will depend on what would have been asked during the first interactions.
A final cover design
A final cover in both PDF and JPEG formats, containing the front, spine, and back of the book. One revision is still possible.
A final revised version (optional)
If a revision is necessary, you will receive a final document in both PDF and JPEG formats with the final changes made.
