Summary
Concise revision and critique on your literary work (considering both its literary and commercial qualities). It can be scary to hand in material we hold so dearly, but trust me when I say a set of fresh eyes giving you insight on where your manuscript needs further work only provides more confidence.
Process
Pre-order conversation and manuscript send-in
Before I begin with the service itself, I like to talk to my clients on their needs, wants and expectations. These help me understand not only the writer's personal process, but also specific points to keep an eye out while editing.
After every detail is discussed, I'll ask for your manuscript in Word (docx) format.
Constant communication
You can expect periodic updates from me. I'll let you know how far into the manuscript I am, what I've been mostly keeping an eye out for, and a preview on what you'll find in the comments. This allows for nerves to cool off!
Final product
I will deliver a thorough revision of your manuscript in the same Word document you've sent in. This includes comments in-text and a detailed review and critique. You'll find specifications at the very top, describing what exactly I've worked on, and a note on my participation.
After-delivery contact and revisions
After I deliver and you get a chance to review my observations, I'll be available to resolve any doubts. In case you find there's something missing or unclear, I'll provide a revision and will re-deliver.
What's included
Review and Critique
You will receive your document commented with detailed observations in-text regarding aspects ranging from plot to verb tenses. At the very end of your manuscript, you will find a review and critique based on aspects successfully worked and aspects that would benefit from further revision/development. No changes will be directly applied to the manuscript.
