The creative brief was to design a brand identity for a casual, lifestyle-centric cafe with a focus on surf culture. The key attributes are to evoke a relaxed, modern, trendy, and hip space that welcomes everyone in the community. Cool, yet slightly sophisticated, with a feeling of "come in and stay for awhile". The feeling of an open, airy, and relaxed space was paramount for this client. The logo results were designed based on this story with a handwritten serif wordmark. The color palette is inspired by the sunset, which is also depicted in the logo icon itself.
