About this service

Summary

Welcome to the world of high-stakes pitching, where one meeting can make or break your startup's future. As a seasoned investor, serial entrepreneur, and partner at a $200M early-stage investment firm, I've been on both sides of the table.

I've raised over $25M for my own ventures, guided numerous startups to successful exits, and now, I'm here to help you.

Give me your best pitch over Zoom, and I'll dissect it (gently!) to provide actionable improvements. I'll help refine your pitch deck content and structure, and enhance your delivery style, ensuring you're well-prepared for that crucial investor meeting.

Securing funding is tough, but with the right preparation and guidance, you can significantly increase your chances. Consider me your sparring partner in the ring of investment pitching. I know what investors are looking for, and I can help you deliver it.

As a real investor, I'm not just offering advice, I'm providing you with a training ground to prepare for the real deal. I've evaluated countless pitches, and I know what makes one stand out. Let's get you trained up and make your pitch a knockout!

Process

What I ask for ahead of our call is slightly different depending on the type of investor you're pursuing.

For angel investors:

Send me your 1-pager/executive summary and email that you're using to set appointments

For VC's:

Send me your 1-pager/executive summary, email sequence you're using to approach VC's and your deck

Then the process looks like this:

1) Zoom call - deliver your pitch just like you would to a prospective angel investor

2) I'll give you verbal feedback and if you have questions, feel free to askj

3) I'll put together written notes and go slide-by-slide through your pitch and send you my notes, suggestions and recording of our Zoom

FAQs

  • How long should my pitch be?

Investors admire those who communicate complicated subjects in a simple way; we abhor the opposite. Think of it as a TED Talk for your business. Aim for about 10-20 slides and 20 minutes. Remember, brevity is the soul of wit... & successful pitches.

  • I don't have a pitch deck yet, can we still talk?

Of course! It's actually a better way to do it, talk to your audience first, then build the pitch. We can discuss your idea & I'll guide you on what to include & how to structure your pitch. It's like getting blueprints before you build a house.

  • Are you familiar with my industry?

There's a good chance I know a thing or two about it, I've been exposed to a lot. But remember, this is like show-and-tell for adults. Part of your job is to educate me about your unique opportunity (especially if you're pitching angel investors).

  • Will you write or rewrite my pitch deck for me?

I can certainly help with that. The pitch deck production process is a team effort. I'll create a compelling narrative and wire frame and my design team will make it pretty. Just send me a message and we can talk about it.
